Are
you looking for a hand truck that can withstand some serious
abuse and still out perform the competition? If you are in
the market for a true warehouse workhorse, then you need to
think about purchasing a Heavy Duty hand truck not some wimpy
standard model that will only last a few months. These heavy
duty beasts can last a lifetime!
They do not label them heavy duty
for nothing. They are built stronger with more rigid materials
and stronger more frequent welds. On a standard model most
welds are welded only once, the heavy duty models usually
get double welds. They are manufactured with a thicker gauge
pipe. They can handle larger loads and most feature a powder
coat that resists the elements and scratches.
You could try a standard hand truck
but if it is going to be used on a daily basis, you should
stick with a heavy duty model. It will pay for itself with
improved workflow, safety and speed. It may cost more up front
but they will last longer than a regular model and you will
see more of a return on your investment.
The main difference is load limits.
Do you think you will need to push more than 600 pounds? For
a standard hand truck 600 pounds is usually the limit. Heavy
duty models on the other hand are designed and engineered
to carry much more than 600 pounds. Almost all heavy duty
models are made from steel. Aluminum just ca not take that
kind of abuse.
