 If
you have never had the displeasure of moving into an upstairs
apartment or a home that has a second story then you have
never been faced with the challenge of moving dozens of large
boxes up one if not several flights of stairs. What about
appliances? Some places have all of the laundry hook-ups upstairs
and that mean that you have to drag a washing machine and
a dryer up a flight of stairs. That still does not even cover
the topic of furniture. Hutches and dressers and cabinets
all need to be moved up those stairs.
So how do they do it? How are you
supposed to get any or all of those items to the top of the
stairs? You could try a hand cart but as soon as you move
up one stair the whole load just might shift. What if this
happens when you are at the top and the whole load goes toppling
down the stairs? There are hand trucks that have built in
straps and they can be used with some success but the ultimate

a super hero in times like these.

in different versions. There are manual ones. These are less
expensive. This type has built in sliders making it very easy
to slide the whole load right up the stairs. No more bumps
on every step. There are also models that have an electric
motor that actually lifts the whole hand truck and load up
and onto the next step. All you have to do is hold the handle
on top and push a button and let the hand truck do all of
the work. Now that is working smart!
